What you will be doing

In this role you will serve as a liaison between the sales department and the front desk to provide our guests with an unforgettable experience at our hotel in addition to attracting new guests to increase our revenue. You will respond to guest inquiries, contact potential new clients, input group reservations, rooming lists, and assist with every aspect of the group’s experience with the hotel.

Requirements

  • Previous sales experience in a luxury hotel establishment is ideal
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral from
  • Be familiar with all policies and procedures
  • Attend all hotel-required meetings and training.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Be familiar with at leas two of these tools:
    Fosse, PEP, R&I, Dephi & STS
  • Comprehension of technical application of reservations system
  • Detail-oriented, effectively use social media for postings and updates and market hotel events
  • Ability to master basic selling techniques
Responsibilities
  • Performs administrative functions in support of properties sales leaders
  • Promptly answer telephone calls and communicate relevant account information to managers and departments
  • Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests
  • Generate and distribute resumes, BEOs, and lead the BEO & Resume meetings for both hotels.
  • Enter rooming lists, notes and pickups in the Sales systems at both hotels.
  • Coordinate with hotel operations teams to ensure seamless execution of a group's stay
  • Politely and professionally converse with clients and respond to all inquiries
  • File and organize copies of contracts and correspondence ensuring records are up to date
  • Reserve and confirm rooms, meeting space, and banquet space when necessary
  • Send out cut‑off reminders, follow up emails, and thank you emails.
  • Process payment, send out estimates, and final bills
  • Gather materials and assemble information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials)
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
  • Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify information (e.g., commissions, leads, third parties) in software involved in the sales process.
  • Work schedule varies and may include occasionally working on holidays, weekends

Compensation: $29 hourly
