Job SummaryAs a Sales Consultant with Tri Net you’ll help power business success with extraordinary HR by pursuing new prospects, sharing and quantifying our value proposition, and selling Tri Net’s comprehensive solution—including access to benefits, payroll and HR services—to companies with 5‑99 employees within your designated territory. You’ll prospect, build your own book of business, own your opportunities, execute the sales process and maintain an organized calendar of activities.
You’ll build pipeline, conduct sales meetings, write proposals, obtain approvals and present proposals to prospective clients, including C‑level executives, business owners and other decision makers in midsize businesses.
- Develop an annual plan to hit targets in a defined territory covering multiple states and/or regions and a diverse portfolio of industries focused on larger businesses with 5‑99 employees.
- Consistently build a balanced pipeline of target prospects through traditional means of prospecting (cold calling, email, phone, Linked In) and by leveraging a diverse group of ecosystem partners to generate referrals and business development opportunities.
- Qualify and quickly disqualify opportunities by understanding the target market and decision‑making personas.
- Establish a trusted advisor relationship inside Tri Net and within the prospect’s decision‑making system to build long‑term client relationships.
- Utilize a sophisticated, multi‑step selling process with defined criteria, executive sponsorship and internal business processes. Manage multiple complex opportunities in parallel through the stages of a typical 3‑6‑month sales cycle.
- Use sales systems including , Linked In Sales Navigator, Zoominfo and quoting tools to manage daily activities efficiently.
- Achieve quota target by meeting sales activity metrics.
- Complete all administrative tasks and duties in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate Tri Net’s core values daily.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
- Bachelor’s degree desired; or equivalent education and/or related work experience.
- Typically 3 or more years of experience in a B2B complex sales cycle role.
- Proven PEO experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Build and maximize a book of business through prospecting, sourcing, establishing and partnering with referral networks.
- Build strong ecosystem partnerships and business referral relationships to share Tri Net’s value and mission.
- Manage multiple priorities and sales opportunities at different stages.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Dedication to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
- Adapt to a fast‑paced, continually evolving business and work environment while balancing priorities.
- Experience with technology and common software and web applications, including MS Office and
- Detail oriented.
- Ability and willingness to travel to prospective clients’ sites within your assigned territory.
The salary range for this role is $75,000.00 to $95,700.00. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience. Candidates hired into roles in the sales organization are also eligible for commissions consistent with Tri Net’s commission plan.
