Position: Health & Benefits Business Development Consultant

Senior Employee Benefits (Health & Benefits) Sales Professional

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Health and Benefits Sales team s role can be based in New York City, Connecticut, Atlanta, Charlotte, or Norwalk where we have Mercer office locations. It is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.

Responsibilities
  • Apply highly developed market and internal service offering insights to sales cold calls to engage potential clients, generate interest, and schedule meetings or presentations.
  • Create sales proposals, presentations, and RFP responses that creatively and effectively address complex prospect needs and appropriately communicate the business value of internal services and offerings.
  • Lead complex sales processes from the identification stage to closing; lead pricing negotiations, facilitate product and expectation discussions, and ultimately secure a beneficial financial outcome for the business.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree.
  • Strong track record of achieving sales goals.
  • Experience selling to companies in the 1,000 – 5,000 employee benefit space.
  • Experiential knowledge of the Employee Benefits or Health and Benefits consulting industry and products.
  • Strong network and ability to gain access to C‑suite level executives.

Base Salary: $97,000 to $194,500, with performance‑based incentives. Competitive total rewards package includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401(k) savings, retirement programs, and employee assistance programs.
