Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead operations at a busy, craft-driven BBQ and American cuisine restaurant. This role requires a strong leader who can drive exceptional guest experiences, develop and mentor a dedicated team, and ensure operational excellence while meeting financial goals in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment.

Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop front-of-house and management staff to maintain high performance and a positive team culture.
  • Lead by example on the floor during peak periods to ensure service standards are upheld.
  • Create schedules that balance labor efficiency with service quality.
Operations & Guest Experience
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening/closing duties, service flow, and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain consistency in food quality, service delivery, restaurant cleanliness, and overall brand standards.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve issues promptly to maintain a positive guest experience.
Financial Performance & Reporting
  • Monitor and manage labor costs, food and beverage costs, inventory, and waste to support profitability.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial analysis, and daily cash-handling procedures.
  • Generate and review operational reports to inform decisions and implement performance improvements.
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and liquor-licensing regulations.
  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures for safe food handling and workplace safety.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in full-service restaurant management, preferably in a high-volume or casual dining environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of financial metrics and ability to manage budgets and cost controls.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Hospitality or business degree preferred but not required.
