We’re hiring an Assistant General Manager in the DMV! This individual will have the ability to travel to any of our DMV locations.
Responsibilities- Overseeing daily operations of your shop while acting as the manager‑on‑duty—from preparing the shop for opening, executing service, to closing—all at the highest level.
- Proactively solving any problems that arise at the shop and taking initiative to keep the shop running at its best, most efficient capacity.
- Manage and lead shop and kitchen supervisors, and team members to ensure the best service is provided to our guests in alignment with CYM core values.
- Work with supervisors and hourly team members to create a positive, efficient work environment.
- Supporting Call Your Mother’s high operational standards by holding yourself and your team to provided checklists, recipe specs, and other standardized tools.
- Manage maintenance and upkeep of all equipment and the shop’s surroundings—trash pickup, linens, deep cleaning and/or storage organization.
- Continued focus on all Serve Safe food safety standards and commitment to shop safety.
- Collaborate with GM to oversee food and beverage management, including inventory, ordering, and budget with regard to food, beverage and labor goals.
- Collaborate with GM on recruiting, hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluation of team members.
- Work with GM to confirm that scheduling each shift and position is covered at its best ability; if there is an issue (call‑outs, emergency) the manager is on‑call to solve it in the best interest of the shop.
- Work in the shop 5 days a week (at least one of which is a Saturday or a Sunday).
- At least 1 year of experience in a restaurant management role.
- Foundational understanding of P&L, cost of goods sold, labor/scheduling, training & team development, food quality standards.
- Serve Safe Manager’s Food Safety Certification or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks such as food and labor cost while maintaining required standards of operation in daily shop activities.
- Hospitality-oriented and passion for the guest experience.

- Starting salary: $60,000 and a 10% bonus opportunity.
