We are currently seeking a Pharmacoepidemiologist for a Senior Scientist position in our Health Sciences Practice in Washington, DC;
Bowie, MD; or Natick, MA. In this role, you will conduct epidemiologic research for clients to generate real-world evidence on medical products, including evaluation of adverse/side effects, comparative effectiveness, review of epidemiologic literature, analyses using electronic health data, and consulting on regulatory matters. You will receive training and mentorship from senior-level consultants and will have opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across Exponent.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong scientist who is looking to apply their experience to an exciting career in consulting. Over time, you will partner with our senior staff and subject-matter experts to grow your consulting practice.
- Reviewing and summarizing scientific literature, regulatory standards, and guidance documents
- Collaborating with our data sciences practice to analyze data from applied research studies, including evaluation of electronic health and epidemiologic data
- Using real-world evidence software to build and analyze cohorts from claims data or electronic health records
- Contributing to the development of complex technical reports
- Managing and organizing project-related materials
- Interfacing with colleagues and clients over email, telephone, and in-person
- Ph.D. in Epidemiology or related discipline or Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) with Master of Science degree in Epidemiology or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a research and/or project management environment
- Commitment to publishing in the peer-reviewed literature, presenting at scientific conferences, and active involvement in professional societies
- Excellent communication, organization, writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, adaptable, effective with time management, and capable of working independently and in diverse teams
- Strong ability to prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Exposure to sensitive information will necessitate considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment
- Presently legally authorized to work in the United States. No immigration sponsorship or processing required.
