Overview
Join Quality's Regulatory Compliance team as a Quality Assurance Project Coordinator, where you'll lead audit readiness, monitor corrective action plans, and support Quality Management System compliance across WMATA's operations. In this supervisory role, you'll partner with internal departments and external regulators to coordinate corrective action closure and help departments align policies and procedures with enterprise quality standards. You'll translate regulatory requirements into actionable programs, ensure timely resolution of audit outcomes, and support executive-level compliance reporting in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

Minimum Qualifications EducationBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, Project Management or a related engineering or management field.
In lieu of a Bachelor s degree, a High School Diploma/GED and four (4) years of experience performing quality management/audit activities, in addition to the minimum experience stated below, will be considered.
Experience- A minimum five (5) years of experience managing people and programs in one or more of the following areas: business operations, quality management and programs, operational auditing/improvement programs, corrective action management, or data analytics programs

- International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 Lead Auditor Certification or an equivalent certification such as the American Society for Quality, Certified Quality Auditor certification (CQA).
- Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, IT, Accounting, or a related field.

SummaryThe Quality Assurance Project Coordinator manages highly complex multi-disciplinary oversight functions associated with coordination of regulatory audits and corrective action plans (CAP), administration of agency-wide policies, control of quality documentation and records, and supervision of employees in the execution of day-to-day tasks. The incumbent acts as liaison to both internal and external entities to ensure effective communication and coordination of administrative and technical issues related to regulatory audits, associated document requests, and corrective action plan management to closure, in accordance with established timelines.
The incumbent supervises a staff that is responsible for the development of quality documentation and project schedules, in association with the implementation of WMATA s Quality Management System Plan. The incumbent manages the triennial update and quality review process for agency-wide policies through end-to-end coordinated collaboration with internal stakeholders. This role may also perform business operations related responsibilities such as monitoring budget, key performance indicators, and employee training and certification compliance.
Functions
- Manages the audit review process to include overseeing required document collection, creating interview schedules, coordinating audit report reviews and communicating audit findings to stakeholders, in accordance with the requirements of internal or external review process. Ensures that audit requirements are completed in accordance with the audit schedule stated in the process control documents.
- Manages and ensures an effective corrective action plan creation process to include, review of the audit report findings, collaborating with stakeholders, scheduling work sessions, and reviewing and updating draft corrective action plans.
