, a top-tier AAHA-accredited facility in Washington, D.C., is on the lookout for a lead veterinary technician to join our specialty surgery team. If you are passionate about the success of your teammates and enjoy practicing a high level of medicine, this is a great opportunity to expand your skillset!
About the role:
In this role, you’ll be a key member of our specialty surgery team, supporting a variety of responsibilities including anesthetic procedures, training and mentorship of junior technicians and assistants, scheduling, and overall department workflow efficiency. Confidence with client communication is essential, as is a strong background in sedation and anesthesia monitoring. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, pays close attention to detail, and is always ready to lend a hand.
A passion for learning and a team-first mindset are must-haves.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8a – 4p. This is a full time position.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a veterinary technician required
- Lead technician experience strongly preferred
- Credentialed technician or ability to become credentialed within the next 6 months required.
- 2-3 years experience monitoring anesthetized and sedated patients in a veterinary setting
