Travel RN - GI​/Endoscopy

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring a DC RN license and strong pre-, intra-, and post-procedural skills.

Job Details

• Work in the Endoscopy unit of a hospital setting,

• Care for pediatric and adult patient populations,

• Required to function in Pre-op (1:2), Intra-procedural (1:1), and PACU (1:2) roles,

• Day shifts are 4x10 hours, typically 07:00-17:30,

• Weekday call required once per week from 17:30-07:00,

• Weekend on-call required every 6th or 7th weekend, including Friday evening through Monday morning,

• Floating is required within the GI suite based on competency,

• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient endoscopy settings is preferred,

Job Requirements

• Active DC RN license, or proof of pending status with license in hand before start,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications,

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,

• Endoscopy experience required, including pre, intra, and post-procedure phases,

• Experience with starting and maintaining IVs,

• Comfortable working with both pediatric and adult patients,

• Flu vaccine required prior to start,

• Must be able to work in Pre-op, Intra-Procedural, and PACU environments,

• First-time travelers with endoscopy experience will be considered,

• Scrubs can be personal or hospital-provided; street clothes required to be changed into hospital laundry scrubs on site,

• Department provides support for transitions between unit roles throughout the day,
