Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least two years of OR experience and a valid or pending DC RN license.

Job Details

• Position based in an Operating Room setting,

• Patient cases include general OR, bariatrics, ENT, neurology, orthopedics, and urology,

• Specialized procedures include total joints, spine, craniotomy, free flaps, cytoreduction, bariatric, and ENT/OMF surgeries,

• 3x12 hour evening shifts, 11:00 to 23:30,

• Required to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity,

• On call required: 6 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule,

• One weekend shift and one holiday shift required per 6-week schedule,

Job Requirements

• Active DC RN license or proof of pending DC RN license required at time of consideration, with license in hand prior to start date,

• Minimum of two years recent Operating Room RN experience required,

• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required,

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred,

• Experience with specialized OR procedures as outlined in job details,

• First-time travelers with at least two years of OR experience will be considered,

• Flu vaccine is required for employment,
