Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with a DC RN license and required trauma certification for a busy Level I teaching hospital.
Responsibilities- Work in the Emergency Department of a Level I trauma, teaching hospital
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4-5
- Day shifts available (3x12 hours) from 7:30 to 20:00
- Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
- No floating between units is required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Uses Cerner Sorian 1st generation EMR
- Work in a Level I trauma environment with exposure to high-acuity cases
- First day parking arrangements and costs are the candidate's responsibility, with options for visitor or prepaid parking
- Hospital is accessible by public transportation with nearby Metro and bus routes
- Two professional references are required at the time of consideration
- Active DC RN license required
- Minimum of 1.5 years recent Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
