Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with a DC RN license and required trauma certification for a busy Level I teaching hospital.

• Work in the Emergency Department of a Level I trauma, teaching hospital
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4-5
• Day shifts available (3x12 hours) from 7:30 to 20:00
• Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
• No floating between units is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Uses Cerner Sorian 1st generation EMR
• Work in a Level I trauma environment with exposure to high-acuity cases
• First day parking arrangements and costs are the candidate's responsibility, with options for visitor or prepaid parking
• Hospital is accessible by public transportation with nearby Metro and bus routes
• Two professional references are required at the time of consideration

• Active DC RN license required
• Minimum of 1.5 years recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
