Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN with a DC license and advanced certifications for a night shift position.
Responsibilities- Work in a busy hospital Emergency Department setting
- Handles all patient types including trauma, psych, pediatric, urgent care, and complex critical care
- Three 12-hour night shifts each week
- Assignment duration is 13 weeks
- No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Must perform advanced procedures such as medication titrations, arterial lines, mass blood transfusions, and chest tubes
- Emergency nurses coordinate and deliver care for complex patient conditions in a fast-paced environment
- Responsibilities include use of critical care skills with a diverse patient population
- Team support and coordinated care are essential in this role
- References from two managers or supervisors from the past twelve months are preferred
- Candidates must be able to provide proof of COVID and flu vaccination if required
- Scrub or dress code details will be provided upon assignment
- Active DC RN license is required
- Minimum two years of recent ER experience in a US hospital
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved nursing program
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS (AHA certifications only) are required
- CPI certification is required
- BSN degree is highly desired
- Travel experience is preferred
- No pending licenses accepted
- US Social Security Number is required for consideration
