Join us as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neurology Medicine & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (C53) at Med Star Georgetown University Hospital, a five-time designated Magnet® Hospital.
Unit HighlightsThe C53 unit is a 14-bed, all-private-room neurosciences specialty unit. Nurses collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to neurological patients, postoperative neurosurgical patients with brain and spine disorders, general medicine patients, and specialized epilepsy monitoring patients.
Med Star Georgetown’s neuroscience specialty centers include:
- Epilepsy Center – comprehensive program for evaluation and treatment of epilepsy
- National Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence – specialized evaluation and treatments, including deep brain stimulation
- Multiple Sclerosis Center – largest in the mid-Atlantic, international referral center
- Neuromuscular Diseases Clinic – in conjunction with the Muscular Dystrophy Association
- Multidisciplinary Spine Center – advanced treatment for spinal cord tumors, spine cancer, neck disorders, and degenerative conditions, often via minimally invasive techniques or Cyber Knife
Rotating shift, night shift scheduling options available, as well as part-time and PRN.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Clinical Nurse, you will:
- Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex.
- Assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans.
- Deliver interventions directly or coordinate with other members of the nursing team.

- ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Minimum one year of RN experience.
- Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).
USD $41.77 - USD $63.66 /hr.
