Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for night shifts at a Level 1 Trauma, teaching hospital with DC license and COVID-19 vaccination required.
Responsibilities- Work in the Emergency Department of a Level 1 Trauma, teaching hospital
- Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:30 to 08:00
- Patient ratios are typically 1:4-5
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- No floating required to other units
- No on-call responsibilities
- Uses Cerner Sorian EMR
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
- Royal blue scrubs are required
- Must be able to provide care to trauma patients and support high-acuity cases
- Must cover both assigned and rotating holidays
- Parking is available for a fee or accessible via public transportation
- Candidates previously employed must have a 1-year separation before being eligible
- Time off requests are considered but must be submitted during the application process
- Active DC RN license required
- Minimum 1.5 years Emergency Department RN experience required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, TNCC
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
- Two supervisor references required for consideration
- Copy of driver’s license and Social Security card required
