Location:

WASHINGTON, Washington, DC. Salary: USD $50.00/Hr.

• Provide shift-to-shift oversight for clinical practice, staffing, patient flow, safety, service, and resource utilization for daily operations.
• Maintain the environment of care and deliver competent, caring, and efficient patient care.
• Ensure care is age-appropriate for the patient population served.
• Model organizational values and provide real-time feedback to staff to improve performance.
• Lead or participate in department process improvements to improve project outcomes.
• Facilitate employee engagement activities, including professional/shared governance participation.

• 1 year charge nurse experience.
• Professional experience demonstrating understanding of the clinical practice environment; 2 years clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Current RN license in the District of Columbia required.
• Certification in specialty preferred.
• Successful completion of unit-specific certifications (PALS, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, chemotherapy certification, etc.) encouraged.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to adapt to multiple changing priorities and provide patient-centered care in decision making.
