Location:
WASHINGTON, Washington, DC. Salary: USD $50.00/Hr.
- Provide shift-to-shift oversight for clinical practice, staffing, patient flow, safety, service, and resource utilization for daily operations.
- Maintain the environment of care and deliver competent, caring, and efficient patient care.
- Ensure care is age-appropriate for the patient population served.
- Model organizational values and provide real-time feedback to staff to improve performance.
- Lead or participate in department process improvements to improve project outcomes.
- Facilitate employee engagement activities, including professional/shared governance participation.
- 1 year charge nurse experience.
- Professional experience demonstrating understanding of the clinical practice environment; 2 years clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Current RN license in the District of Columbia required.
- Certification in specialty preferred.
- Successful completion of unit-specific certifications (PALS, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, chemotherapy certification, etc.) encouraged.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to adapt to multiple changing priorities and provide patient-centered care in decision making.
