Medical Intensive Care Unit
Our 24-bed adult MICU cares for the most complex critically ill medical patients. MICU nurses are clinical experts in the management of complicated medical problems which include GI bleeds, respiratory failure, renal failure, liver failure, CHF, COPD, DM etc. The nurses on this unit utilize many advanced therapies, such as continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), post-cardiac-arrest hypothermia protocol, and hemodynamic monitoring.
The MICU is proud to have received the Gold Beacon Award for Nursing Excellence from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex.
- Identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyze trends and changes in patient status.
- Plan appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications
- ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Minimum of two years of critical care experience preferred.
- Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required.
This position has a hiring range of USD $41.78 - USD $63.66 /Yr.
