Nurse Utilization
- Clinical Analyst (Bilingual Spanish/English)
Remote (US) – Full Time – Clinical/Nursing Department – Med Risk
The Nurse Utilization
- Clinical Analyst is responsible for performing telephonic assessments of work-related injuries and illnesses. The nurse will conduct telephone assessments of work-related injuries/illness while utilizing an assessment platform and decision support tool to determine the appropriate treatment recommendation for the injury/illness at hand.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered registered nursing license with two years clinical nursing experience.
- Compact RN license required (compact license and reside in a compact state).
- California RN license mandatory (must hold active CA RN license or be willing to obtain upon hire; company to reimburse cost).
- Occupational medicine, ED or UC experience desirable.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask.
- Knowledgeable in computer operations, including Windows OS, data entry skills and 10-key capabilities; at least 30-40 WPM typing speed.
- Excellent oral communication/telephone skills; ability to understand state laws and guidelines.
- Excellent interdepartmental communication; regular communication with intake team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with medical providers, claims adjusters and clients.
- Demonstrate excellence in communications to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Apply basic problem-solving skills to ensure early intervention and identification of injuries that benefit from medical case management or to deliver self-care advice during triage.
- Direct recommended care into network providers as applicable.
- Follow up on injury status to advance level of care when necessary.
- Accurately and completely document in file using standard documentation format(s).
- Follow all standards, procedures, and protocols.
- Maintain RN licensure in good standing; maintain overall QA average of 95%.
- Participate in departmental projects and meetings with 80% minimum attendance.
- Adhere to Stratacare policies and procedures; maintain acceptable attendance and tardiness.
