Responsibilities
Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health is the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers and the urgent care center in Ward 8. The full-service hospital includes 136 beds (expandable to 184), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits, a 500‑car garage and a helipad for emergency transport.
We are seeking an experienced Postpartum Registered Nurse (Full Time‑Days). The ideal candidate will monitor the vital signs of mothers and newborns and address irregularities swiftly. The RN will provide physical assistance to mothers during recovery, support daily activities, educate mothers and families on infant care, breastfeeding and emotional well‑being, and perform all duties in accordance with the facility’s policies and standards of care.

Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program
- ACLS, NRP (or obtained within three months of employment)
- BLS
- DC RN License
- Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities
