Provides care to newborns through young adults ordered for a variety of prescribed infusion therapies including biologics, immune, and gene therapies. Requires a high level of competency in the placement of peripheral catheters as well as the care and management of central venous access devices, and experience in pre and post monitoring of infusion therapies including management of adverse or infusion reactions.
Responsibilities- Care for pediatric patients from newborns to young adults receiving infusion therapies (biologics, immune, and gene therapies) as ordered.
- Demonstrate competency in peripheral catheter placement and care/management of central venous access devices.
- Monitor patients pre- and post-infusion, and manage adverse or infusion reactions.
- BSN Preferred.
- RNs without a BSN must enroll in a BSN program and complete the degree within 4 years of their start date.
- Minimum of three (3) years of pediatric nursing experience.
- Previous critical care (ICU, ICU Stepdown, ER, IR) or infusion clinic/suite experience preferred.
- Infusion experience required - minimum of one year.
- Current Maryland RN license or licensure in a compact state that allows practice in Maryland.
- AHA CPR required.
Salary Range:
Minimum 57.00/hour - Maximum 57.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
