We are seeking a Senior Director RN Education to join a progressive, non-profit health system. In this high-impact, system-level leadership role, you will oversee nursing education, clinical competency, professional development, and workforce initiatives across multiple hospitals and care settings.

You will lead a department and work closely with the System Chief Nursing Officer and senior leadership to drive excellence in nursing practice and improve outcomes system-wide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the system-wide strategy for nursing education and clinical development
  • Lead RN workforce programs, supporting recruitment, retention, and internal agency staffing
  • Oversee the redesign of the RN Residency Program with a focus on simulation-based learning
  • Drive continuing education, certification support, and leadership development for nurses
  • Chair the Nursing Professional Development Council, aligning goals with the System CNO
  • Advance innovation, research, and evidence-based practices in nursing education
  • Ensure life safety and compliance through system-wide training initiatives
  • Establish clear departmental goals, performance metrics, and accountability standards
Qualifications
  • Active RN license
  • MSN required; DNP or PhD preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in progressive leadership roles (preferably at the system or academic medical center level)
  • Experience in nursing education, simulation, workforce development, and evidence-based practice
  • Strong background in leading large teams and managing change in complex healthcare environments
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary:
    Up to $180,000 per year
  • Bonus:
    Up to 10% annual performance bonus
