Med Star Georgetown University Hospital’s Division of Hematology Oncology is seeking a qualified nurse practitioner to join our well‑established Lymphoma Cell‑Therapy outpatient practice in Washington, DC at 3800 Reservoir Road NW.
Our program is the region’s only adult, Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT)‑accredited program for autologous transplant, allogeneic transplant, and cellular immunotherapy. We give patients with cancers affecting the blood or immune system and other disorders access to life‑saving treatment options not otherwise available in our region. Our research engine, Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, is the only National Cancer Institute‑designated comprehensive cancer center in the Washington, D.C. region.
This position offers you the opportunity to practice independently and side‑by‑side with a dedicated and fellowship‑trained, board‑certified medical hematologist oncologist. Work Monday‑Friday in an academic, collegial environment with weekly administrative time. This is a 1.0
FTE opportunity, with no call, no weekends or weeknight responsibilities.
The NP in this role will be responsible for writing follow‑up/subsequent chemotherapy orders, performing bone marrow biopsies and providing basic support to the lymphoma outpatient practice. The ideal candidate will have a chemotherapy card and experience working in lymphoma and/or malignant hematology practices. Experienced preferred in bone marrow biopsies, but not required. Interested candidates will also have thorough documentation skills, great work ethic and be able to work autonomously while being connected regularly with administrative and physician support.
