The 39‑bed unit is dedicated to providing high‑quality pre/post general surgical care and managing the Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. The RN will be responsible for providing patient‑focused nursing care to patients with various surgical needs, including laparoscopic cholecystectomies, tracheostomies, kidney and liver transplants, and trauma patients. RNs on this unit can learn about a wide range of surgical procedures and techniques, which can enhance their expertise and contribute to their professional development.
PositionSummary
Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
Responsibilities- Deliver patient‑focused nursing care to surgical patients and trauma cases.
- Provide pre‑operative and post‑operative assessment and care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for surgical care planning.
- Lead and support the healthcare team in delivering quality patient care.
- Adhere to patient‑centered care principles and Service Excellence standards.
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program.
- BLS certification.
- Current state nursing license.
- Prefer one year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in an acute care setting.

Salary offers may be based on key factors such as education and related experience. Salary: $95,000 – $100,000 (Washington, DC).
