Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health is the first new full‑service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward
8. This integrated delivery system is a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it ensures that residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. The hospital includes 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion, a 500‑car garage, and a helipad for emergency transport.
Our ideal candidate will provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. They will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team, work alongside other medical staff to ensure a safe and smooth delivery process, monitor vital signs, administer medications, assist with epidurals, and support patients during childbirth. They will also educate and support parents on newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery after childbirth, offering emotional support and answering questions throughout the journey.

- Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program
- ACLS, NRP (or obtained within three months of employment)
- BLS
- DC RN license
- Prefer one year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in an acute‑care setting
- Fetal monitoring and basic dysrhythmia training
- Requirements specified for specialty unit
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities
