Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator for an outpatient oncology clinic requiring a DC RN license and recent oncology experience.

Job Details

• Position is in an outpatient oncology clinic setting,

• Responsibilities include care coordination for oncology (malignant and benign hematology/oncology) patients,

• Patient populations include bladder, kidney, brain, breast, colorectal, ENT, leukemia, and blood dyscrasia cancers,

• Requires 5x8 day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday,

• Involves inpatient and outpatient oncology care skills,

Job Requirements

• Active DC RN license in hand is required,

• Current BLS certification required,

• Preferred certifications include OCN and ONS/ONCC,

• Minimum 2 years recent oncology nursing experience,

• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment,

• Skilled in recognizing and communicating abnormal lab values,

• Experience with isolation and neutropenic precautions,

• Ability to perform telephone triage, psychosocial care, and symptom management,

• Role includes care coordination and symptom management for diverse oncology patients,

• Must be able to manage isolation and neutropenic precautions as required,

• Flu vaccine is mandatory for all employees,

• First time travelers will not be considered for this role,
