OverviewThe Nimitz Group is seeking an experienced Outreach & Engagement Supervisor to lead and oversee a national, multi-region outreach and engagement effort. This role is responsible for supervising field-based outreach staff, ensuring consistency and quality across engagements, and serving as the connective tissue between strategy, operations, and execution.
The Supervisor will spend significant time traveling alongside or in support of outreach staff, observing engagements, meeting with stakeholders, and ensuring outreach objectives are met. When not traveling, the role includes remote management, planning, reporting, and limited in-office coordination in Washington, DC.
This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable leading distributed teams, balancing field execution with strategic oversight, and representing a broader initiative with professionalism and credibility.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities (Approximately 60% Travel)
- Supervise and support field-based outreach staff across multiple regions.
- Observe and evaluate in-person outreach, presentations, and demonstrations to ensure consistency, quality, and effectiveness.
- Serve as a senior representative at meetings, briefings, and events, reinforcing relationships with key stakeholders.
- Provide real-time coaching and feedback to outreach staff while in the field.
- Identify recurring themes, challenges, and opportunities from field activity and elevate them to leadership.
Key Responsibilities (Approximately 20% Remote)
- Manage day-to-day oversight of outreach staff, including scheduling, priorities, and performance tracking.
- Review and approve outreach plans, travel schedules, and engagement strategies.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting, documentation, and follow-up from the field.
- Support the refinement of outreach playbooks, training materials, FAQs, and workflows.
- Coordinate with internal teams to align outreach execution with broader objectives.
Key Responsibilities (Approximately 10% In-Office – Washington, DC)
- Participate in internal planning meetings and coordination sessions.
- Contribute to leadership discussions on outreach strategy, staffing, and operational improvements.
- Support onboarding, training, and mentoring of outreach staff.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Relevant experience in outreach, engagement, field operations, program management, customer success, training, or related roles.
- Prior experience supervising staff or leading teams in a distributed or field-based environment.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and manage independently operating staff.
- High comfort with technology and the ability to understand, assess, and guide presentations or demonstrations of technical tools.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, including clear written reporting and verbal briefings.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including early mornings, occasional evenings, and multi-stop trips.
- Experience with the Mil-Vet Community
- Experience managing outreach or engagement efforts across multiple regions or sites.
- Familiarity with complex organizations, regulated environments, or stakeholder-driven initiatives.
- Experience serving as a senior or supervisory representative in external-facing roles.
- Master’s degree or equivalent advanced experience.
- Starting base salary: $80,000/year in addition to a generous SEP Retirement plan
- 20% SEP
