The Role
On the heels of Democrats’ historic state level success in 2025, Forward Majority seeks a Development & Engagement Associate as an essential addition to the Development team. This role will directly report to the Development Director.
Ideal candidate
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in development, operations, finance, or political/nonprofit administration
- Comfort working across databases and tools such as NGP/Every Action, Act Blue, Numero, and Google Workspace
- A reputation as a diligent, detail-oriented self-starter and strong team player
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with comfort handling sensitive and time-bound information
- Demonstrated ability to manage recurring processes, deadlines, and multiple priorities simultaneously
- A commitment to working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment with evolving needs
Responsibilities include
- Development Operations & Donor Engagement
- Support fundraising operations across PAC, 501(c)(4), and 501(c)(3) entities in close coordination with the Development Director
- Process and upload contributions into NGP/Every Action and maintain accurate donor records
- Maintain and update fundraising pipelines in Numero, ensuring contributions, correspondence, and donor activity are tracked consistently
- Coordinate timely donor acknowledgements and stewardship efforts, including thank-you emails and follow-up communications
- Support donor cultivation by tracking meetings, outreach, and engagement opportunities
- Coordinate with external digital fundraising consultants to manage approvals, reporting, and internal communication flow
- Compile and share regular digital fundraising updates and performance reports with senior leadership and the development team
- Support quarterly fundraising goal-setting and tracking in collaboration with the development team
- Funder Materials Development
- In coordination with the Development Director, help refine and develop pitch materials for funder cultivation
- Support Development Director in updating proposals, decks, memos, and associated collateral, incorporating feedback and refining messaging and positioning
- Prepare donor briefings and customized materials for meetings, events, and presentations
- Finance & Compliance Coordination
- Provide administrative and operational support to the finance and compliance team, including reviewing and approving outgoing ACHs and wires
- Ensure payments align with invoices and internal documentation
- Assist with compliance-related tracking and documentation across fundraising and finance systems
- Executive & Internal Coordination
- Manage and coordinate the CEO’s calendar, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and supporting follow-up
- Track grant agreements and reporting deadlines; assist with the preparation and submission of grant reports
- Assist with planning donor meetings, travel, and events
- Manage and support CEO travel and staffing needs, including travel logistics, briefing materials, and on-the-ground support as needed

Compensation & Benefits
The salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 annually with a full benefits package that includes healthcare (100% premium coverage for employees), a 401k plan with an employer match, and much more, plus an opportunity to join a fantastic team and meaningfully contribute to the future of our democracy!
