Job Summary

This position will work with the Fulbright Scholar Outreach & Recruitment team. This role conducts outreach and recruitment activities for the Fulbright U.S. Scholar program, serving as a point of contact for assigned world regions and partner organizations. This individual will work closely with the Program team to recruit and advise applicants, execute special projects/technical tasks, and participate in activity tracking, data collection, drafting of reports, and budget monitoring.

Functions
  • Collaborates with team in implementing approved recruitment strategy for assigned regions and partners. Serves as a point of contact for potential applicants by monitoring regional email inboxes and phone calls.
  • Develops and maintains contacts at partner institutions. Interacts with institutions of higher education, scholarly associations and, as needed, other external constituencies, including vendors, consultants and contractors, to professionally represent IIE.
  • Represents the Fulbright U.S. Scholar program at conference panel presentations, exhibition booth networking, and campus visits.
  • Assists in the planning and implementation of virtual outreach campaigns and events, including regularly scheduled office hours and webinars.
  • Tracks, monitors and supports outreach and recruitment activities, and contributes to the development of standard operating procedures for the team.
  • Contributes to the development of program reports and materials following Fulbright brand guidelines.
  • Participates in the full lifecycle of the award competition through collaboration with Communications, Events, Program Management, and Application and Selection teams as needed.
Qualifications and Experience Education and Work Experience

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of and experience with the higher education sector in the United States.
  • Strong understanding of faculty roles and responsibilities on college campuses.
  • Ability to organize and handle a large volume of work under severe time constraints and pressures.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English with superior writing and editing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use diplomacy in difficult situations preferred.
  • Previous experience with customer relationship management and database software preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Willingness and availability to travel extensively.
Salary and Benefits
  • Hiring Range: $59,232 - $72,712. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, internal organizational equity, and geographic region.
