WPAOG is both the alumni association and foundation for the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point. Its mission is to “Serve West Point and the Long Gray Line.” The organization seeks to maintain the most highly connected alumni body worldwide, leveraging the leadership development institution of USMA.

• Serve as lead front‑line fundraiser on a 48‑member Development Team, covering Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area.
• Solicit leadership gifts of at least five figures from alumni and non‑alumni friends, maintaining relationships with 150 prospects and donors capable of annual gifts at $10,000 and higher.
• Manage all phases of the gift cycle: identifying, qualifying, evaluating, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding.
• Collaborate with development team members, volunteer alumni leaders, and natural partners to coordinate cultivation and solicitation efforts.
• Advocate for WPAOG and USMA funding priorities and offer appropriate gift vehicles, including planned giving options.
• When appropriate, solicit annual and class gifts from assigned prospects.
• Travel extensively (40–50% of time) and be available for occasional weekend duty.
• Use CRM software to track fundraising activities and related technology.

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees a plus.
• Three to five years of fundraising experience, preferably with knowledge of capital giving programs and planned giving vehicles.
• Experience in or familiarity with USMA and the Army strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Goal‑oriented, competitive yet collegial mindset.
• Willingness and ability to travel and work weekends as needed.
• Proficient in CRM and related technology.

Salary range: $74,000 – $76,000. Benefits include a pleasant working environment and other standard offerings.
