About the Role

This is a floor-leadership role. Not a desk job. You will run production, lead people, and impose order on a small but technically advanced HVAC manufacturing operation. The owner built this company over 30+ years. The next chapter requires a steady, respected operator who can turn production into a disciplined, scalable system.

Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day leadership of a 20-25 person operations
  • End-to-end production execution from order release through shipment
  • Roles, standards, throughput, quality, and accountability on the floor
  • Team structure, hierarchy, and culture
  • Quality control, rework reduction, and margin awareness
  • Hiring, onboarding, and retention of shop-floor talent
  • Coordination with ownership and sales leadership
Qualifications
  • Military leadership background strongly preferred
  • Experience leading manufacturing, operations, or shop-floor teams
  • Comfortable leading without being the technical expert
  • Able to manage skilled trades and strong personalities
  • Calm, organized, and decisive
  • Proven ability to build loyal, high-performing teams
Required Skills
  • Establish and enforce clear production standards
  • Lead foremen and individual contributors
  • Drive on-time completion and reduce callbacks
  • Build pride of ownership—do it right the first time
  • Implement simple, visible performance metrics (production, quality, margin)
  • Maintain authority without micromanaging
  • Lead from the floor—present, visible, and engaged

Pay range and compensation package

Compensation: $110,000–$130,000 base + performance incentives
