Overview

Position Summary:

Lead Material Coordinators support warehouse and logistics operations while providing leadership to junior staff. A high school diploma and seven years of facility/logistics support experience are required. These individuals assist with material flow, inventory accuracy, documentation integrity, and safe operation of MHE in accordance with federal and contractual standards.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee material handling tasks including receiving, inspection, storage, and distribution.
  • Serve as the senior technical advisor to Material Coordinators, providing guidance and task direction.
  • Validate inventory transactions, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other MHE safely and in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Conduct routine workspace inspections to identify hazards or process deficiencies.
  • Support shipping preparation, packaging, and movement of materials for delivery or transfer.
  • Maintain tracking logs, inventory reports, and material status updates.
  • Assist supervisors with workforce scheduling, workload allocation, and mission planning.
  • Participate in audits, cycle counts, and overall warehouse readiness efforts.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    High School Diploma.
  • Seven (7) years of industry experience in facility/logistics support related services, of at least one (1) project of similar complexity to the work stated.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures and material handling practices.
  • Ability to provide task leadership and mentor junior logistics personnel.
  • Proficiency in forklift and MHE operation with demonstrated safety compliance.
  • Competency in inventory systems, documentation practices, and recordkeeping.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address material discrepancies rapidly.
  • Effective communication and time management skills.
  • Experience in Government or DoD logistics environments (preferred).
  • Understanding of supply chain documentation such as DD-1348, MSLs, and receiving reports (preferred).
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and workflow optimization (preferred).
