Job Overview

GDIT is seeking PM for a federal client in the Washington D.C. area. The PM must possess AI and cloud expertise and serve as the main point of contact for the CO and COR. The PM will take overall responsibility for all services and activities outlined in this TO. This role will ensure all day-to-day activities are carried out in a timely and reliable fashion and act as a representative of the contractor with management authority for all staff provided under the TO.

The PM will have the ultimate authority to commit the contractor’s organization and make decisions for the contractor’s organization in response to agencies issues, concerns, or problems. The PM will act as the central point of contact for the completion and quality of deliverables.

What you’ll do keep programs on track, ensure deliverables meet contractual requirements, and coordinate with customers, vendors, and staff.

Responsibilities
  • A mastery of knowledge and skill working as an integrator for a multi-cloud environment or multi-cloud solutions to meet business requirements; ability to provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences on critical issues; use creative thinking to apply new strategies and developments to previously-unsolvable problems; and make decisions or recommendations that significantly influence important agency policies and programs

  • Experience with big data operational execution and delivery

  • Experience with system development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Lean, Dev Ops, Kanban, Extreme Programming (XP), Spiral, and Rapid Application Development (RAD)

  • Expertise in big data principles by selecting and using the most efficient data processing hardware, software, and analytical approach

  • Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.

  • Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.

  • Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.

  • Responsible for meeting the required contractual performance metrics such as SLAs, KPIs, OPI etc.

  • Responsible for meeting financial metrics.

  • Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.

  • Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.

  • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.

  • Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical and administrative areas.

  • Function as the senior business leader on the program determining our customers’ needs and priorities, coordinating technical solutions responses to those needs, helping to shape customer acquisitions, and positioning GDIT to delivery best in class services.

  • Conducts planning and provides recommendations to client on task workload.

  • Manages risk tracking process.

  • Attends customer meetings and serve as client liaison.

  • Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and client staff and stakeholders.

  • Coordinates development of and timely delivery of contractual deliverables.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Education:

    Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or additional 4 years of experience in lieu of education.

  • Experience:

    8+ years of related experience

  • Experience supporting Azure, and AWS Cloud, Big Data, and Managed Services.

  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Current Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification

  • Current Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) Certification

  • Current CompTIA Cloud+ Certification

  • Security clearance level:
    Candidates must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust level clearance.
