- You will serve as a supervisory Principal Assistant Program Manager (PAPM).
- You will lead a programmatic and technical team of civilians, military and contractors in the prototyping, design, integration, production, and test of submarine-integrated specialized mission systems.
- You will will oversee the execution of Acquisition activities, utilizing both Major Capability Acquisitions, as well as Adaptive Acquisition Framework pathways.
- You will lead the implementation of policy and statutory reporting, as well as design and direction of acquisition strategy and lifecycle activities within your functional area.
- You will coordinate with multiple Program Offices, sponsors, shipyards, and warfare centers in the execution of system development.
- You will be responsible for the planning, programming, budgeting, leading integrated product teams, systems engineering, Contracting Officer Representative, and supporting all phases of program management.
- You will oversee logistics, budget execution, and risk management of activities within your functional area.
- You will communicate program activities in written and oral forums at all levels internal and external to the organization, to include coordination and support of senior level engagements with the resource sponsor and operational commands.
- You will manage, direct, and assist in a line capacity for the advanced undersea system development programs.
- You will direct and monitor submarine-based operations and maintenance for advanced undersea research and development projects.
- You will coordinate Flag-level direction across multiple government agencies, industry partners, and Commander, Submarine Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet activities.
- You will establish work assignments to be accomplished by employees, set priorities, and prepare work schedules for completion.
- You will evaluate employee performance, recommend appropriate incentives, initiate corrective actions, and keep employees informed of management and personnel policies.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition
Functional Area
and category assigned to the position is required within established category time frames. - This position is covered under Public Law 114-264, the Program Management Improvement Accountability Act (PMIAA).
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR .
