Our client is looking for a full-time (40hrs/week) Project Manager.

Performance Requirements
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the full lifecycle of assigned projects, from project initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
  • Conduct thorough kickoff meetings with internal staff and stakeholders to gather requirements, understand project goals and outcomes, clarify priorities, and define scope and success metrics.
  • Develop comprehensive project schedules that include milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and resource needs.
  • Coordinate timelines, facilitate content development, and ensure cross-team collaboration to support the production of digital, print, video, social media, and event-related communication materials.
  • Coordinate and track schedules for reviews and revisions of draft deliverables, as appropriate, to ensure accuracy, consistency, and stakeholder approval.
  • Monitor project progress continuously, making adjustments as needed to mitigate delays and ensure timely completion.
  • Track and monitor project budget and expenditures and elevate potential budget overruns in advance.
  • Serve as a liaison between Mar Com and Education Initiatives, enabling open communication and shared understanding of goals and expectations.
  • Provide regular progress briefings to joint teams, synthesizing updates, risks, needs, and strategic considerations into clear, actionable communications.
  • Apply detailed project knowledge to foster timely decision-making by providing relevant contextual information and clear expectations for feedback and approvals.
  • Facilitate project retrospectives to identify lessons learned, process improvements, and opportunities for strengthening future work.
  • Ensure timeline and deliverable expectations are clear and known to relevant stakeholders.
  • Anticipate and identify project risks related to resources, scope, timelines, or quality; work with teams to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Track team capacity and workload against prioritized division goals to ensure efficient use of resources and balanced distribution of work, reporting any concerns that are identified.
  • Contribute to the development of improved project management practices, tools, and workflows that strengthen the project team's effectiveness and responsiveness.
  • Support strategic integration between Mar Com and Education Initiatives by aligning project goals, streamlining processes, and supporting consistent messaging across all educator-facing communication.
  • Advise stakeholders in strategic planning discussions, offering insights into timelines, capacity, communication best practices, and audience engagement.
  • Ensure that the educational mission of the Museum is effectively communicated throughout all project materials and outreach efforts.
  • Build and maintain project dashboards, status reports, and tracking documents that offer accurate, up-to-date visibility into the Mar Com project pipeline in coordination with Education Initiatives' deadlines and goals.
  • Analyze project data to inform office- and division-wide planning, resource allocation, and long-term strategy development.
  • Expertise - Provide expertise on project management best practices, workflow organization, and communication strategies.
  • Contractor Travel & Reimbursables - Any mutually-agreed upon travel to the Museum and/or other locations to be determined will be arranged by the Museum's Travel Services and must be approved in advance.
Minimum Qualifications:

Mandatory
  • 5+ years of experience in project management or a closely related field, preferably supporting marketing, communications, and digital engagement operations. 3
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, internal clients, and leadership.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and shifting priorities.
