Community of Hope is seeking a Talent Management Generalist to help create a supportive, values‑driven workplace where every employee can thrive. In this role you’ll guide team members through medical leaves and accommodations, assist with training and culture‑building initiatives, manage essential HR processes, and ensure our practices remain compliant and aligned with COH’s mission. The position is full‑time and located at our Conway Health and Resource Center in SW DC.

What You'll Do
  • Manage employee requests for medically necessary extended time off and accommodation requests, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, including FMLA, DC FMLA, ADA, PPWFA, and COH policy.
  • Lead supervisor trainings on medical leave and accommodations on an ongoing basis.
  • Lead and coordinate the Lunch & Learn schedule by working with staff across the organization to develop a robust and engaging series of events.
  • Oversee the scheduling, coordination, and facilitation of annual Anti‑Harassment, Mandated Reporter, HIPAA and OSHA trainings for all employees; track completion and ensure records are filed. Work with the Compliance team as needed for mandatory training requirements.
  • Compose staff newsletters and internal communications, including the monthly Insider, weekly transitions, and the monthly DEI newsletter.
  • Complete all employment verifications received within 3 business days.
  • Complete all wage garnishments received with supervisor approval within 3 business days.
  • Regularly audit employee files to ensure compliance, as needed.
  • Handle sensitive information with care and discretion to ensure confidentiality.
Requirements Must Haves
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Attention to detail and strong organization skills required.
  • 1‑3 years of HR or equivalent experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel required.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with care and discretion to ensure confidentiality required.
  • Ability to act responsibly, professionally, and use good judgment under pressure required.
  • Ability to travel to other sites as needed required.
