Hire Connections is partnering with a respected membership organization to hire a Vice President of Events. The Vice President of Events leads the strategy, execution, and growth of 12–15 annual conferences and events, manages a small team, and oversees significant event revenue. In this key leadership role, the Vice President of Events collaborates closely with executives and volunteer leaders to deliver impactful, mission?aligned

member experiences. This position requires a strategic, hands?on leader who elevates the organization’s events portfolio and drives continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • As the Vice President of Events, lead strategy and operations for the full annual events portfolio.
  • Oversee events including the Annual Trade Show & Conference, Awards Dinner, Golf Outings, Technology & Economic Forecast Conferences, and social functions such as Bowling, Pickleball, and more.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the events team.
  • Oversee budgets, forecasting, registrations, sponsor ships, and revenue goals for all programs under the purview of the Vice President of Events.
  • Plan and execute large?scale, high?quality events that enhance member engagement and organizational visibility.
  • Serve as staff liaison to volunteer committees to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Direct event marketing efforts and approve key communications.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor and venue contracts.
  • Build strong relationships with sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align the events portfolio with organizational priorities and long?term strategy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7–10 years of related experience, including 5+ in events or association management.
  • Proven leadership and team?management skills.

Pay: $100k - $120k/yr
