Operations (Office) Manager, Washington, D.C.
We are currently seeking a self-starter Operations Manager who will oversee the office operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and a harmonious work environment. This position involves leading administrative staff and contributing significantly to the smooth day-to-day functioning of our bipartisan firm. Your responsibilities include maintaining proactive office and operations management, providing guidance to support staff, and fostering a positive, collaborative atmosphere within the organization.
Responsibilities- Plan and execute daily office operations, optimizing workflow and productivity.
- Develop and enforce office, emergency preparedness and I.T. policies and procedures to support efficient functioning.
- Manage office supplies, equipment, and facilities for a comfortable work environment.
- Lead and coordinate office, operations and administrative projects, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
- Lead and mentor administrative staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
- Oversee and manage the onboarding and off boarding processes.
- Conduct new-employee orientations and support HR processes.
- Maintain the firm’s organization charts, intranet and the employee directory.
- Organize and coordinate company events, meetings, and conferences.
- Collaborate with IT personnel to ensure seamless operation of office technology.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenses related to office operations.
- Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree and Certification in Office or Facility Management highly preferred.
- Proven experience as an Office or Operations Manager or similar role, with at least 7 years of leadership experience.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in office software (e.g., MS Office suite and Google platform).
- Knowledge of facility management and office equipment.
- Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Take initiative to identify needs, solve problems, and improve processes proactively.
- Strong leadership, demonstrated proactivity, and a self-starting approach
