Overview
Job Title: Site Lead, Wharf Boathouse (managed by Guest Services, Inc.) for the 2026 season.
The rental season runs from April through mid-October and the site is open 5 days a week. This is a full-time, hourly position. Previous managerial experience is required. All staff are expected to work at least one day on a weekend and during summer holidays (Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July, and Labor Day Weekend).
Compensation: $23.00 per hour

. This role supports the General Manager in daily operations and administrative management and may serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) as scheduled.
- Receive direction from the District Manager and assist in the overall management of the unit’s operations; plan and manage daily operations, including opening/closing procedures and MOD responsibilities when assigned.
- Supervise and schedule staff; train new employees; delegate assignments; monitor performance; initiate or recommend disciplinary action when appropriate; recruit and interview candidates; complete new-hire procedures and weekly payroll tasks.
- Prepare and maintain cash reports and related files; create daily schedules for direct reporting staff.
- Drive revenue and manage expenses; oversee front desk operations to maximize service quality and staff performance.
- Serve as the point of contact for customer issues; respond to inquiries, resolve complaints, and maintain the company’s professional image.
- Inspect the facility daily for safety and cleanliness; report unsafe conditions or equipment; complete incident reports when necessary and train employees on data collection.
- Verify invoices, monitor sales, resolve discrepancies, and prepare daily/ end-of-month sales reports; assist in managing P&L and annual budgeting.
- Oversee stock and visual merchandising; review plans with the District Manager.
- Promote the Boathouse through marketing plans; develop new client/program ideas to generate revenue and recruit clients.
- Maintain safety awareness and report issues to the District Manager.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the General Manager, Area Manager, and Operations Manager.
- High School Diploma
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Ability to swim
- 1–3 years of management experience; boating/marine experience preferred
- Computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to learn and develop new skills; ability to problem-solve; ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent administrative, telephone, and communication skills
- Experience and license for driving a motorboat is preferred
- Moving about on foot to perform tasks; frequent bending, lifting, carrying, reaching; ability to work in a changing environment
- Lifting/carrying/pushing up to 25 lbs regularly, 30–35 lbs frequently, up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to stand for the entire workday and climb stairs
- Ability to withstand temperature extremes and outdoor weather
- Reading and writing work-related documents in English
- Clear speech and comprehension in English
- Physical presence at the job site is essential
- Typical office equipment (computers, phone system, fax, copiers, scanners)
- Marina and dock maintenance equipment
