Facilities and Vendor Manager

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Facilities and Vendor Manager for a permanent position in Washington, DC (NW, Dupont Circle). This position will support a legal and executive office in DC and act as building maintenance and contract manager for all things HVAC, plumbing, etc.

• Establish and manage the service and maintenance of the building, including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, safety, IT and security systems
• Work with office/security personnel to test all necessary equipment and plan for regular maintenance and updates
• Continuously review building systems and equipment to ensure minimal downtime, anticipating problems and resolving issues in a timely manner
• Perform troubleshooting and fix small issues pertaining to any of the above areas
• Manage all service/maintenance contracts, including preventative and corrective maintenance, pest control, etc.
• Negotiate terms and conditions of facility and service contracts, equipment leases, evaluate RFPs
• Create and maintain SOPs by working with Administrative Assistant to maintain manuals, diagrams, etc.
• Ensure city, county, state, and federal real estate regulations are always met

• HS diploma or GED with 9+ years of experience in facilities management
• Strong organizational skills and communication skills, including working with C‑Suite executives
• Solid skills in fixing minor mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, etc. issues
• Fundamental computer skills in MS Office
• Preferred associates or bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Knowledge and experience with Facilities Management programs

• $92,000–$100,000 annual salary (depending on experience)
• 20% annual bonus potential and 20% stock options
