Maintenance Technician Hiring Event – Walk-ins Welcome

Location: 2445 M Street NW, Washington, DC 20037

Date: Tuesday, January 20, 2026

Time: 4:00pm – 7:00pm

Arrival Instructions: Candidates should park at 2400 M Street Garage on 24th Street. Bring your ticket. Walk over to the 2445 M Street building, enter through the revolving door. Our team will welcome you and direct you to the interview location. Allow at least 1 hour for the interview.

Interview Positions:

• Maintenance Technician ($23.96 – $29.98/hr)
• Multisite Maintenance Technician ($26.09 – $31.89/hr)
• Senior Maintenance Technician ($28.71 – $35.09/hr)

Qualifications:

• A valid driver's license, good driving record, auto insurance, reliable transportation (required if operating a motorized vehicle).
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws.
• Computer literacy, effective communication skills, English proficiency.
• Ability to work any assigned shift, including weekends; respond to emergencies after normal business hours and on weekends when assigned on-call responsibilities; provide after-hours telephone number.
• Physical requirements:
  
  frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, climbing, sweeping, stooping, kneeling, shoveling, crouching, lifting, handling materials.
• EPA Section 608 certification (required within 90 days for Senior Maintenance Technician; preferred for others).

Responsibilities:

• Address resident service requests and perform diverse hands-on maintenance tasks.
• Ensure market-ready apartments; perform preventive maintenance; maintain grounds and common areas; report any concerns.
• Travel between assigned communities may be required.
• Senior Maintenance Technician also manages maintenance inventory, assumes managerial responsibilities when Service Manager absent.
