  • Washington, DC: $335,000

In accordance with applicable Federal and State laws, the anticipated annual salary range for this position is as follows. In addition to a standard benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on an array of factors, including but not limited to: work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications. Because such contingent compensation is not yet calculable or may be zero ($0) in some circumstances, the above-listed salary range is Nixon Peabody's good faith estimate of the annual salary it reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of this posting.

Position Details

Our Government Investigations & White‑Collar Practice Group is seeking to hire an associate to join our Cross‑Border Risks Team based in our Washington, DC office.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have seven
years of relevant experience, including experience and/or a strong interest in national security, immigration, and international criminal matters. Superb writing skills are essential for this role and clerkship experience is helpful. Qualified candidates will be motivated self‑stators with stellar academic credentials, outstanding judgment and communication skills, a commitment to excellence and have the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Our team has extensive proficiency in counseling, investigating, defending and litigating all forms of government inquiry. Our international representation includes managing matters from the investigation and grand jury stages through trial and, if necessary, appeal and collateral proceedings. We provide comprehensive services to individuals and organizations that receive civil investigative demands, subpoenas or any other requests for information from federal prosecutors, state prosecutors or investigative agencies.
