An international AmLaw 50 firm is seeking a talented junior to mid-level Associate Attorney to join its leading Financial Services Practice Group in New York or Washington, DC. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact intellectual property and commercial transactions for cutting-edge technology clients across the globe.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 4-5 years of substantive experience in financial services transactions, preferably involving fintech and payments-related matters.
• Demonstrated interest in working with financial institutions, fintech companies, and innovative service providers.
• Familiarity with the formation of strategic partnerships in the payments and lending space, including BaaS, co-brand credit card, merchant acquiring, data aggregation, network incentive, and/or BIN sponsorship agreements.
• Ability to manage components of complex transactions independently and collaboratively.
• Soft Skills:
  
  Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent innovative banks, fintechs, merchants, and technology platforms in cutting-edge financial services transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of financial services agreements, including product development partnerships, payment processing agreements, and data use arrangements.
• Advise clients on legal considerations related to consumer lending, payments, deposit products, and digital assets.
• Support transactional due diligence in M&A, joint ventures, and investments in the fintech space.
• Collaborate with attorneys across disciplines, including regulatory, corporate, IP, and litigation, to provide holistic legal solutions.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Salary: $260,000 - $390,000, commensurate with experience and class year.
• Discretionary merit bonus eligibility.
