Civil Defense​/Aviation Attorney

Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, a leading national firm, seeks mid-level to senior-level attorneys to join its Aviation and Aerospace practice in its Washington, D.C. office.

You will be entrusted with a diverse and challenging caseload, assuming significant responsibilities from the outset.

• Contribute to a diverse and challenging caseload within the Aviation and Aerospace practice.
• Prepare cases for trial and assist with case management under supervision as appropriate.
• Support research, writing, pre-trial discovery, and depositions; work independently and within a team.
• Travel as required.

• Must be admitted to the Washington, D.C. Bar in good standing.
• Ideal candidates will have experience in civil defense litigation in state and federal courts and can hit the ground running by preparing cases for trial.
• Preferred candidates will have experience in aviation law, product liability, and/or premises liability, but this is not required.
• Excellent research, writing, pre-trial discovery, and deposition skills; ability to work independently and within a team.
• Trial skills and experience would be an added benefit but not necessary.
• Applicants should be organized, self-motivated, and able to handle files with minimal supervision.
• Some travel may be required.
