- Provide investigative expertise and oversight for criminal investigations and related law enforcement programs.
- Support organizational performance related to law enforcement programs.
To qualify for this position at the GS-14 grade level, candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13 by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience is demonstrated experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or related to the work of the advertised position and reflected in the resume.
Specialized experience must include all of:
- Thorough understanding of the laws and regulations enforced by ATF and ATF policies regarding the programs carried out in the field; familiarity with relevant State and local statutes and jurisdictional relationships with other law enforcement agencies and regulatory entities.
- Extensive and broad knowledge of management principles, a broad range of technical, intelligence, and administrative knowledge, and a comprehensive understanding of the organization.
- Expert knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to ATF's law enforcement responsibilities, with in-depth investigative skills and knowledge applied to operational activities.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively perform coordinator and liaison responsibilities.
