Cooley LLP is recruiting an Associate to work with the Communications practice group in our Washington, D.C. office. The role involves communications regulation, policy and transactional matters, including before the FCC and state public utilities commissions, in the media (including broadcast), telecom, wireless, satellite and technology industries.

Key responsibilities:

• Advise on communications regulation and policy matters.
• Represent clients before the FCC and state public utilities commissions.
• Handle transactional matters related to the media, telecom, wireless, satellite and technology industries.

Qualifications:

• 3‑5 years’ experience in communications regulation, policy and transactional matters.
• Experience before the FCC and state public utilities commissions.
• Strong interest and high motivation in legal and business matters affecting the relevant industries.
• Excellent academic credentials.

Expected annual pay range: $260,000‑$365,000.
