A growing Mid-Atlantic law firm is seeking a Counsel or Junior Partner–level Commercial Litigator to join its litigation practice. This role is ideal for a sophisticated litigator with a partial book of business (approximately $300K) who is looking for a platform that supplements workflow
, provides leverage, and supports long‑term growth.
The firm has a steady pipeline of commercial litigation matters and is prepared to meaningfully supplement the right attorneys' practice with existing work.
Duties- Lead and manage complex commercial litigation matters
- Take over and oversee matters handled by associates
- Serve as strategic advisor to clients throughout all phases of litigation
- Collaborate with partners on case strategy and firm growth
- Continue to develop and expand client relationships at a sustainable pace
- Built-in workflow and case support
- Associate leverage and experienced litigation teams
- A platform designed for senior attorneys—not a sink‑or‑swim model
- Collegial, low‑politics culture with real autonomy
- Hybrid work flexibility
- 10+ years of commercial or business litigation experience
- Experience serving as lead counsel and supervising associates
- Partial portable book of business (approximately $200‑300K preferred)
- AmLaw or strong regional firm background is welcomed
- Looking for a long‑term platform rather than a short‑term move
