About The RoleThe Assistant General Counsel, Commercial will be responsible for managing a wide range of commercial legal matters, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and supporting the negotiation and structuring of various commercial transactions. This position will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide strategic legal guidance on contracts, partnerships, licensing agreements, and other commercial matters. This role reports to the General Counsel.
ResponsibilitiesDraft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including sales contracts, vendor agreements, licensing agreements, and partnership agreements.
Provide legal counsel and support for commercial transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Identify and assess potential legal risks associated with commercial activities, and develop and implement strategies to mitigate those risks.
Ensure the organization's commercial practices comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Provide timely and accurate legal advice to internal stakeholders on commercial law matters, and collaborate with business teams to support strategic initiatives.
The estimated starting salary range for this role is $176,000 - $204,000 annually less applicable with holdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
