The Discovery Paralegal team uses a collaborative approach to perform legal document reviews, following established standards and practices, using commercial electronic document review platforms and tools, such as Relativity, Ever Law, and eDiscovery Platform (eDP), and will be responsible for peer review for accuracy and provide constructive edits to ensure quality and thoroughness. The Discovery Paralegal provides professional, accurate, timely, and reliable support across the Office of the General Counsel, Operational and Administrative Divisions, DOJ, and other government agencies.

The Discovery Paralegal performs research to locate and gather material responsive to requests, including conducting outreach and informal interviews to respond to document requests and interrogatories, and coordinate classification reviews with subject matter experts.

• An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TOP SECRET federal security clearance and ability to obtain SCI clearance.
• FIVE (5) or more years of Paralegal experience to include THREE (3) or more years of Discovery/ eDiscovery experience and TWO (2) or more years of leading litigation projects
• TWO (2) or more years of experience performing privilege and other substantive reviews on litigation support projects.

• Paralegal Studies Certificate or Paralegal Associates of Arts Degree.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of eDiscovery review platforms (e.g., Relativity, Ever Law, eDiscovery Platform (eDP)) to identify documents for responsive and privileged reviews, including redaction of sensitive information.
• Two years of progressively more responsible experience reviewing electronic and paper materials for privilege on litigation support projects involving paper documents and electronic files.
• Excellent computer skills in MS Office Suite Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Demonstrated working knowledge researching (e.g., Westlaw, Pacer) and drafting responses to interrogatories.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records of assigned requests, including detailed case notes, discovery plans, maintaining case information into appropriate case management systems/ databases.

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
