A premier top-20 AmLaw global law firm is seeking a driven Associate Attorney to join its nationally-recognized Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice Group.

Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing
- 2-3 years of substantive experience in data privacy, cybersecurity, or related regulatory counseling at an AmLaw 100 law firm is required
- Extensive experience providing privacy counseling to companies in technology, life sciences, and emerging technology sectors, including AI
- Experience drafting and negotiating privacy policies, data governance frameworks, data processing addenda, and complex technology and commercial agreements
- Demonstrated knowledge of both federal and state privacy and AI laws and regulations, including the FTC Act, COPPA, GLBA, FERPA, CCPA (and similar state laws), WMHMDA, BIPA, and emerging AI regulations
- Experience conducting privacy due diligence and negotiating privacy provisions in private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate transactions
- Exposure to privacy or AI-related regulatory inquiries or investigations preferred
- Collaborative team player with excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills and a strong interest in working in-office within a high-performance, collegial environment
- Advise clients on compliance with U.S. federal and state privacy, cybersecurity, and AI regulations
- Draft, review, and negotiate privacy and data governance documentation, including policies, data processing agreements, and technology transaction agreements
- Support privacy and data security aspects of corporate transactions, including M&A, private equity investments, and strategic partnerships
- Conduct privacy and data protection due diligence and provide risk assessments and mitigation strategies
- Counsel clients on AI governance, regulatory developments, and responsible data use
- Collaborate with cross-practice teams, including corporate, life sciences, and technology transactions, to deliver integrated legal solutions

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Compensation: Annual base salary is expected to range from $235,000 - $260,000, as determined by experience, qualifications, and market factors
