Job summary:

  • Our client is looking for an attorney to join the legal Compliance team.
  • We are looking for a skilled lawyer with excellent judgment and people skills who is interested in taking on a wide variety of projects and working at a fast pace, both independently and as a collegial team member.
Responsibilities
  • Conducting compliance investigations, including witness interviews, reviewing and analyzing documents, drafting investigative reports, and presenting investigative findings.
  • Providing legal and risk guidance to the Client's Investigations team on relevant investigative matters.
  • Working with Enterprise Risk Management, Security, Human Resources, Internal Audit, Risk Management & Compliance, Operational Assurance, Legal Department teams, and other internal partners within client on a variety of investigative and compliance matters, including providing legal advice and guidance.
  • Drafting compliance communications.
  • Assisting business teams in addressing compliance matters by helping design and implement risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Reviewing and implementing compliance controls and corporate policies.
Must Have Skills
  • J.D. or equivalent degree.
  • Excellent academic record.
  • Bar membership is good standing.
  • 6 or more years of relevant experience as a practicing attorney.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and conducting investigations across a broad array of subject matters and jurisdictions.
  • Proven oral, presentation and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and perform effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Good judgment.
Desired Skills
  • Taking initiative to develop, lead and implement projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of business clients including senior leaders.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Experience working in an in-house Legal department investigation's role leading complex internal investigations.
Education / Certifications
  • J.D. or equivalent degree.
