We are looking for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to join our team on a contract basis in Washington, District of Columbia. This position requires a strong background in civil litigation and the ability to manage cases from start to finish. Responsibilities:

- Handle civil litigation cases, ensuring all legal processes are followed accurately and efficiently.

- Draft and file motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.

- Conduct thorough discovery processes, including gathering evidence and preparing documentation.

- Represent clients in court proceedings and depositions, advocating effectively on their behalf.

- Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and provide legal advice.

- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the practice area.

- Analyze case files and legal issues to provide sound recommendations.

- Manage client relationships professionally and maintain confidentiality.

- Prepare for and participate in hearings and trials as needed.

- Review and interpret legal contracts and agreements.

Requirements - Must hold a valid license to practice law.

- Demonstrated expertise in civil litigation, with proven experience handling cases.

- Proficiency in drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

- Strong knowledge of discovery processes and procedures.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality work.

- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations in the jurisdiction.
